30 HOUR FAMINE - DON'T FEED THE FAMINALS

Every year, thousands of students unite through World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine to feed hungry children and their families. The program helps raise awareness and funds as students participate in a 30 hour famine challenge.

Feeling like a part of a group can give kids a real sense of belonging and reason to participate. We don’t want them to feel like nameless fundraising tools, we want them to feel like they’re part of something larger and much more special. We want them to feel like Faminals. Faminals are the best parts of ourselves that want to have fun, get inspired and help out. We created fun, unique characters that would be displayed on posters throughout schools as well as t-shirts. The idea would also carry out to social media where a Facebook tab/game would be housed so that students could pick a baby Faminal that would then grow when donations were raised. Participants could share their goals reached in order to help motivate fellow students, and to show off their awesome Faminal!
